Frixion "Falling in Love

This is boy band Frixion second music video which i styled. We spent 8 hours in a freezing, dark and dirty cave in Birmingham definitly one of my trickest shoots todate! I was on my own, no assistant and it was so dusty in the cave i really did do my best to keep the clothes looking new and clean! But it was a great day!
The main girl in the video was Layla Manoochehri (Recent finalist on Channel 5 "The Bachelor") she was a pleasure to work with and have since stayed in touch. Make-up artist on the day was Dani Smith - again a top girl! Really enjoyed working with them both and wish them all the luck for the future x

Duchess

LOVED working with new girl band "Duchess" these 4 sexy, confident and talented ladies were an absolute pleasure to style. I assisted Senior Stylist Neesha Sharma - who has worked with Keisha White, Amerie, Sean Paul, 50 Cent and Kylie!! A very interesting stylist to work for. I'd say her styling is daring, vibrant and sexy/urban and it was really insightful to watch her in action in her creative moment - and although we only worked together on this one project i learnt soo much from her and am looking forward to working with her again in the future!!
Check out her jewellery collaboration http://www.lovemycustom.com/

Anyway! Back to Duchess... Their first Single "All the Boys" was a wicked UK urban jam, i assisted Neesha on styling them on there first music video and the pictures for their website http://www.officialduchess.com/ and the single release. Check out the vid below and follow the girls on Twitter @OfficialDuchess

I then got the opportunity to style the girls for Tramline Festival earlier this year which was the first time i had styled a girl band for a live performance - You really do have to take everything into consideration for live performances, i wanted the girls to look like a girl band so I used light denim, Black with a flash of leopard print and mixing Leather, Satin and Sheer to give it texture in each of there looks but also trying to keep in with each of there personalities. The second look for the girls i stuck with their pastel / candy colours so each girl had a coloured top, black bottoms and the original varsity jackets.

2nd Look

I love these ladies and i wish them every luck in succeeding in there dream! TEAM DUCHESS!!

Topshop Press Day SS12

This was the first Topshop press day and boy was it a good'en!! There collections have been heavily influenced by late 80's early 90's fashion which is right up my street! See below for my favourite pieces of the day - and yes i will attempt to rock out the platform pumps Baby Spice style! Love them!! lol

Anyone who knows me knows i am a massive fan of the late 80's early 90's raving scene, Drum n Bass and Acid House music regularly filled my house as my parents were heavily into it and i guess thats where my love of it all began! Roll on 2012 i say it looks to be a fun and colourful one on the fashion front :)
This is my favourite and WILL be in my wardobe asap

TUNE!!!!!!!!

Chase & Status smashed it this year with there music video to "Blind Faith" Ft Liam Bailey taking us all back to the times of Illegal raves and reaching for the laser!!!

Soap World

I Recently styled TOWIE's Mark Wright for a shoot with Sunday Mirror. He was lovely! Proper pics waiting to be sent so here's a sneak peak for now....

Styled in a Mocha Brown Topman suit - which he loved so much he kept!!

I also styled Natalie Cassidy aka Sonya Jackson! She was such a laugh and also kept one of the outfits i styled her in! Always makes me feel good when a client takes home something they would never normally pick for themselves!

Styled TOWIE's Billie for a shoot with Closer magazine she really is just like you see on TV very sweet and bubbly! We got on very well

Ill Manors....

Plan B has directed his first film called Ill Manors and I've been working on it for the past few months as Wardrobe and Costume Continuity, and when Ben Drew comes up with one of his creative mental moments i also found myself playing a Police Officer and a Prostitute (Highlight of my career if i do say so myself lol)

The team were amazing on this film I've loved every minute of it - Doing 22hr days, my smoking and diet coke habit went through the roof! But it was all worth it to make the film the best it could be.

Watching Ben direct his first film was really inspiring, he really knows what he wants and creatively is an absolute genius! With Martin Serene as first AD cracking the whip on us and supplying the comedy the hours flew past...

Watch out for the film set to be released in Feb 2012, its going to be a massive hit!!

Team wardrobe, Ben, Art Rob aka Nasty C*** & Martin Serene

My "Doug" joke taken to new extremes!
I tried to give ben a piggy back... not quite as strong as i thought lol
Me and Boss Lady with our Blondie T's on! Such a ledge

Sachs Bros, Martin Serene, Ben Drew

Ben does not find the "Doug" joke amusing lol

Wretch32 Tour!!!

Soooo we finally finished the Wretch32 tour!! Yay another satisfied customer.... Styling team was Senior stylist Katie Greengrass www.katiegreengrass.com Assistant stylist Georgie Hillier and Junior Stylist Amy Maloney(me!)

We decided to play off the whole Black and White idea and after watching all of Wretch's music videos we came up with some amazing ideas. Katie and an amazing design company called Seventy Seven http://www.seventyseven.co.uk/index.html designed some really cool T-shirts and the designs were based on ideas from his previous music vids. So our idea was to have everyone in the band wearing  Black T-shirts designed by our Seamstress Lizzie and Wretch was to wear the White T'shirts designed by Katie and Seventy Seven.

It was a very relaxed, laid back and comfy look we went for the with the guys and for backing vocalist Sherelle Mckenzie (Sister to Labryth) we styled her in the coolest black feathered shrug by Ted Baker (Also worn by this year X Factor contestant Janet Devlin on the show!) we wanted her to stand out and rock it!! And being the only girl in the band she was spoilt for choice!!

A company called Nobal Savage were really supportive and custom made Wretch and all of the band members the iconic Wretch32 Varsity jackets - similar to the Adidas jackets in the "Unorthodox" music vid. But we decided to go in big and have them made from real leather with Black and White stones encrusted in the 32
It was a blast working with Wretch and his band, look forward to more work in the future.....
